Elena Avramovska

Elena Avramovska is completing her PhD degree at the ULB and at the University of Geneva and she is currently a visiting doctoral fellow at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on the nexus between gender equality and historical institutionalism in a non-western context. Elena holds a BA in journalism from the University of Saint Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and a MA in Global Studies from the University of Leipzig and the University of Vienna. Her PhD project has been supported by several different instititions, including the Open Society Foundation and the Swiss National Research Foundation. She has also worked as a gender consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of Macedonia.
